YOUTHWORKS! is the Idaho Youth Ranch�s newest program, launched in 2013.
YOUTHWORKS! prepares young adults, 16-22, for work and life success. Participants learn real-world business and social skills through jobsite training at one of IYR�s thrift stores, classroom learning, and mentorship from a local business professional. Trainees even get paid a stipend during the 12-16 months of the program.
Our first group of YOUTHWORKS! trainees graduated this April. Many were too shy to speak up in class at the beginning of the program but within a matter of months each was able to confidently give presentations to peers and fellow thrift store employees.
