Were getting our hands dirty over at the Hays Shelter Home! Earlier this month, the Hays kids hunkered down to put in this year's vegetable garden. Dove, youth specialist at Hays, shared the story:

North End Organic Nursery donated three cubic yards of dirt, and Edwards gave us a $50 gift certificate. A local woman, Emily, volunteered to share her organic farming experience with the kids in a Gardening 101 group one evening. The group planted starts, pulled up last years plants, and prepared the garden for new seeds.
