Equine Therapy at the Idaho Youth Ranch can help your child heal.
For a young person dealing with life's heart wrenching struggles, a horse can be a source of light in an otherwise dark world. In fact, working with horses is a well-proven method of emotional recovery and can help kids who are struggling to cope with difficult emotions and experiences.
Equine Assisted Therapy is an experiential therapy in which youth interact with horses therapeutically to encourage emotional growth and promote learning. Each session is facilitated by a specially trained mental health professional and a horse professional.
Idaho Youth Ranch has been utilizing the healing power of horses for decades. Our expert staff has helped thousands of young people work through a variety of challenges to meet their goals. We offer group, individual, and family sessions tailored to each individuals specific needs. We offer Equine Therapy services to the Treasure Valley at our Hands of Promise Campus in Caldwell. For our Northern Idaho client, our sessions take place at The Stables at Mica Meadows in Coeur d'Alene.
